Professional Critique Service

Write your book. Publish a bestseller. Transform your life.

You've drafted a novel and are on your way to sharing it with the world. You're dreaming of the day you'll earn royalties, do book signings, and top the bestseller charts. You're ready to get published!

Before sending your manuscript to agents, publishers, or the printing press, you need to hone your story, characters, and conflict. You need to make your book the best it can possibly be. This is where developmental editing is important.

Reading a Book
What is Developmental Editing?

A manuscript needs to go through several revisions before it can be queried and published, including developmental edits, line edits, copyedits, and proofreading.

Developmental editing is when you revise and refine your story. The process includes checking the plot structure, characters, conflict, scene structure, and more.

This involves finding one or more beta readers and hiring a professional developmental editor.

What You'll Get

In our professional developmental editing service, Tiana Warner will read and critique your manuscript in full. You will get back your manuscript with comments and suggestions throughout, plus a critique letter with overall feedback.

Developmental editing includes major areas like plot structure, characters, scene structure, and writing style and clarity. We will also evaluate how your book meets current industry standards in the YA market.

My goal is to make the feedback positive and constructive so we can work together to make your book the best it can possibly be. I do not believe in "ripping your story apart" or delivering harsh feedback, but rather working together to bring your manuscript to its full potential, boost your confidence as an author, and making every aspect of your story shine.

"Tiana Warner has an excellent eye for what makes characters and extraordinary worlds shine. She offers valuable insight and gentle guidance, with careful understanding of each author's unique style."
- Dee J. Holmes, Indie author
